Cartographic animations are created so that the viewer can visualize movement and gradual progression of specific data being analyzed. In this cartographic animation, the viewer can see the gradual changes month to month due to the effects of net long-wave radiation. There is a legend below that depicts by color the intensity of the effects--blue being the lowest and red being the highest.
